Guide
2Booth is in beta. If something here doesn’t match what you see, or you’re stuck, use Help at the top of any page. It goes straight to the person building it.

Before your first show
- Make the show on the dashboard with its date. Add a PIN if the link might be shared beyond your acts.
- Send acts the link or QR code from Link / QR. Print the QR for the green room, or share the link in the group chat.
- Add a contact for acts at the bottom of the dashboard (owners only), so acts who get stuck know who to ask.
- Use Chrome on the booth laptop (Edge and Firefox also work). Safari can’t play Spotify in the browser.
- Open the booth early. It downloads every audio file to the laptop and measures its loudness. Wait until the Outputs panel shows a green dot, for example “Cached 5/5 audio · measured 6/6”.
- Connect Spotify once in the Outputs panel if any acts picked Spotify songs. It stays connected on that laptop. (Spotify songs are a beta that’s only on for some venues. If you don’t see it, acts send files instead.)
- Open the screen window if you’ll show images or video. Drag it to the TV or projector, then click inside it to go full screen. That click also lets quiet videos be turned up.
- Do a quick soundcheck: play a cue, set the master volume, and trim any cue that sounds off (✎, then Trim).
During the show
- Click a cue to put it on standby (green outline). Space plays it and moves standby to the next cue.
- With “GO fades out what’s playing” on, GO fades out any sound still playing before the next cue starts.
- F fades everything out. Esc stops everything immediately.
- New uploads appear on their own and flash pink. Drag ☰ to put them where they belong.
- Documents (slides, scripts, run sheets) are in the panel on the right. PDFs and pictures open in a new tab; PowerPoint and Word files download to the laptop.
- Previews in the cue editor play through the main output, so don’t preview during the show.

What to tell acts
- Open the link on your phone. No account or app needed.
- Put your act name in first, then upload music, video or pictures, or pick a Spotify song if your venue has Spotify songs turned on.
- Add a note to each cue: when to play it, when to fade, anything the booth should know.
- Drag ☰ to put your cues in running order.
- Slides, scripts and lighting plots go in the Documents tab.
- Keep the page open until every file says Sent ✓.
- Use the same phone to make changes later. Your cues are tied to that phone’s browser.
Troubleshooting
- A cue won’t play, or there’s no sound at all
- Click anywhere on the booth page once (browsers block sound until you do), check the master volume and the laptop’s output, then try again. If one file won’t play, ask the act for an MP3 or WAV.
- “Couldn’t play” on a Spotify cue
- Reconnect Spotify in the Outputs panel. It needs a Premium account and Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Spotify is the least reliable cue type, so ask acts for a file when you can.
- The screen window doesn’t open
- Your browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for this site (icon at the right end of the address bar), then press Open screen window again.
- A video is quieter than everything else
- Click once inside the screen window after opening it. Browsers only let video be turned up after a click there. Videos over 200 MB aren’t measured; use the cue’s Trim.
- Media says “working on…” for a long time
- Big files take a while on slow Wi-Fi. Everything still plays, streamed instead of from the laptop. Opening the booth earlier gives it time.
- An act says their upload keeps failing
- Ask them to keep the page open and press Retry, or switch to Wi-Fi. Very large videos (over a few GB) are best shortened or sent another way.
- Signed out, or the sign-in link doesn’t work
- Links work once and expire after 15 minutes. Ask for a new one at the sign-in page. You stay signed in for 30 days on each browser.
